Just found out about this band from Holly J & I’m already loving them. Radiation City is signed to an independent label in Portland called Tender Loving Empire, and they’re already being called Portland’s “Best New Band” by the Willamette Week (Top 10 after the jump.)

Looking them up, I noticed they started out on Apes Tapes, an artist run cassette tape label that AND AND AND (no link, but they’re a group I saw at PDX POP NOW! 2010) used to be on. Very, very interesting.

In retrospect, this post has way too much Portland going on in it, but I have to give some love to my hometown.
