bring, bring the thunder
& the loud, loud rain

thanks to kexp, i saw purity ring live at doug fir today (free!) as part of musicfestnw. i was already down at pioneer to do paperwork for job 2, so alyssa met me on burnside for the show. it was pretty freaking epic. and, you know, i get to feel cool because i liked them before their album dropped.

on that note, i was the only one brave enough (lame enough?) to ask them for actual pictures after the show, so i snapped some individual ones with both of them. to the stereotypical hipster kid who got rejected right after me — there is no shame in fangirling. (-boying?)

after the show i had my first day at job 1. while zoning out during the 2nd clip of the training video might not have been my brightest moment, my coworkers (2 other new hires, both guys) are friendly and i think a made a good impression.
