long overdue on the list of portland-landmark-events-that-kate-has-never-been-to, i went to the last last thursday of the summer with ashley tran. here’s the best view down alberta that my short little arms could take.

we meandered around, did a little thrifting, stopped at the portlaroid machine (resulting picture seen here on ashley’s page), and eventually wound up at the cruzroom for dinner and drinks. for my first test outing with my “florida lifestyle” in portland, it all went smoothly. and yes, i did just order that particular drink because of the ryan gosling shoutout in the menu.

afterwards we stopped by the alberta waffle window for an ice cream waffle sandwich. & according to my older sister, who was handing out copies of her poetry (without my knowledge or i would have stopped by), we made it out of the area just before some rioting/fighting started.
