let’s be honest. i’m probably about 163 of this video’s 433,563 views.

i forgot to share this one back whenever i originally stumbled upon it, but i was introducing my parents to the wonders of youtube on the wii, and rediscovered the beauty of my two favorite movies combined.

clean editing effects + iconic typography. slick.

you know how i know you're cool? you have good taste in mice.

friends & family day

at work.
BUT REALLY BECAUSE HOLLY IS HOME NOW.

we’ll get to spend a summer in the same place (or at least more than a week) for the first time in a long time. it’ll be nice to finally relax into an old friendship, no pretenses even in disagreement.

i hope that even as we get older, we’ll still have odd bursts of synaptic connection where we just understand. & that we’ll still get together, be indecisive about what to do, and have that be okay (although hopefully our choices upgrade from the formerly life changing decision of what to watch via comcast on demand.)

growing more & more fascinated with bitcoin as a decentralized currency as every day passes. i’m already late to the game, the mathematical bitcoin mining game is up for the average consumer like me, but i’ll be following this one closely & might even jump on the bandwagon soon.

right now, bitcoins are generally associated with buying things anonymously (i.e. drugs, weapons, illegal goods.) yet, i can’t help but think back to an article i read about a new zealander who lost a decent chunk of his life savings when the cyprus popular bank was recapitalized. the market fluctuation of bitcoin leads to inherent risk, but through a more stabilized global internet currency, could stories like that be avoided? additionally, what will the rising popularity (/notoriety) of bitcoin do to budding payment systems like square & venmo?

food for thought.

still can’t believe we went up in this! haha, being enclosed so tightly made my deathly fear of heights & ferris wheels (thanks dad) bearable. holly probably will never forget our wonderful spin on the ferris wheel at oaks park… i screamed like a banshee that she couldn’t move or we’d tip over and die. i might have cried. so hopefully this will put a dent in that phobia, and regardless, worth every penny. (we can test my theory soon, she’s back on the 28th!)honestly, i needed this break. and damn, we crammed every single thing we could into this mini-vacation day. good coffee, walking through seattle, flash sale shopping, the obligatory visit to the pacific place forever 21 to creep on their visuals, pike place market, a tulip bouquet, gift shopping, eating clam chowder AND a whole dungeness crab AND shrimp cocktail until i wanted to explode, sticking gum on the gum wall, then eating crepes and drinking more coffee, friendship bracelets (yes we are age 5,) ferris wheel, wandering, shopping, trying to eat cupcakes but getting sick from being full, DAISO, getting lost on the seattle public transportation, and a very tired return home. damn.oh, and many trips to target. like actually, four or five trips to target.
